Every Kitty City cat scratcher, explained
A cat scratcher is the one thing every indoor cat needs before anything else. Scratching sheds the old outer layer of each claw, stretches the shoulders and back, and leaves a scent mark that says "mine". When the only good surface is the sofa, the sofa gets scratched.
Kitty City makes corrugated cardboard cat scratchers in every shape cats use: flat double-sided pads for cats that scratch lying down, round lounger scratchers and a little cardboard couch for cats that like to nap where they scratch, ball-track scratchers for cats that need a game, and tall sisal posts for the full vertical stretch. Most cats prefer one direction — watch where your cat scratches now and copy it.
- LookIs the damage on the sofa arm (vertical) or the rug (horizontal)?
- PlacePut the scratcher right in front of that spot.
- InviteRub catnip on the cardboard the first day.
- MoveShift it a little further from the furniture each week.

Great scratching pad
Great product. Cat loves to scratch on it - saves the furniture and rugs. Large size allows kitty to stand on it while scratching

Perfect!
My 2 cats loved this immediately! They don’t sleep or lay in the center part but it’s perfect for biscuit-making, and they love the catnip filled hearts dangling in the entrances. The size of the tunnel and entrances are also very spacious. The material feels durable and soft even with it being scratch resistant. Overall, I’d say 10/10, I would buy this again and I’ll definitely recommend this to other pet parents!

Adorbs!! Totally Adorbs!!
These are the cutest! Felix & Oscar (my feline family) love them! Very durable, set is more suited for 1 adult cat - it was great when my cats were kittens but they outgrew the size. Definitely will be looking for a larger version in the future! No regrets with this purchase!

My vet loves these!
this is the best carrier owned in 30 years! My "big girl" walks in and out of this thing like it was nothing! So much less stress! if you've ever tried to shove a "buzz saw" into a small hole you know what I'm talking about! I like that it comes with a little bed .and folds right up bed and all. My vet recommends these and he's been around as a vet for 50+ years.

One family
Kitty City is the cat line of SportPet Designs, the same company behind SportPet carriers and kennels and Chew King toys for the dog of the house. That's why the carriers and travel gear here share a shelf with the scratchers.

Start walkingQuestions at the front desk
Do cat scratchers actually work?
Yes, when they're in the right spot. Cats scratch where they already spend time; a cat scratcher placed next to the sofa arm gets used, one in a back room usually doesn't.
Cardboard or sisal?
Cardboard suits horizontal scratchers and cats that like a crumbly drag; sisal suits vertical posts and strong adult cats. Many homes end up with one of each.
How long does a cardboard pad last?
It depends on the cat. When one side is shredded, flip it; when both sides are spent, recycle it and drop in a refill.
Are the pop-up tunnels big enough for large cats?
The large tunnel bed is 39 inches across and fits large breeds; the standard tunnel is 44.5 inches long with an 11-inch opening.
Which carrier is easiest for a cat that hates carriers?
A side-door carrier: the cat walks in rather than being lowered in from above.
